Sabhyata’s Story.

Sabhyata received the “Transfer Option” from Cornell University in April 2020. She decided she was going to attend Indiana University for their Kelley School of Business for her first year and then transfer to The Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration for the next three years. Sabhyata accepted her transfer admission and has spent her last year

Mukund’s Story.

Hey! I’m Mukund, and I’m a junior studying Econ in the College of Arts and Sciences. I ended up at Cornell after receiving a Transfer Option (TO) on Ivy Day in 2020. My ED application to the College of Human Ecology got deferred, and so I received my TO as my Regular Decision. I wound up at Purdue University for my freshman year, where I majored in Econ & Management. I genuinely loved being at Purdue, and making the shift to Cornell wasn’t an easy one. Cornell provided its own set of challenges, and it honestly took me a while to get back in the swing of things. But looking back, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else and am so lucky to call myself a Cornellian! On campus, I’m lucky to be a TA for PAM 2300, a brother in the Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity, and a consultant with Social Business Consulting. I love to longboard, learn about ancient history, and (try to) make vegetarian food!

And believe me. I know how confusing it can be to receive a TO and to transfer in general. Which is why Sabhyata and I created Already Friends. We’re here to guide you through a challenging process, and give you the tips and tricks we’ve learnt along the way (and the advice we wish we had a year ago)! I’m not here to sell you on Cornell or explain why the school’s great: you’ve applied here, you already know. I’m here to give you my sincere take on my transfer experience and not shy away from talking about my highs and lows. You can reach me on instagram @mukundsrikishan, or on LinkedIn.
